“I accepted help for several reasons but mainly as a busy business owner in retail and hospitality and busy father, I needed to find time to switch off, reenergise and make time for myself, focusing on the positives and making the most of my very limited free time. Being so stretched has been very tough and at times I’ve questioned what’s been ‘in it for me’, other than having a very successful business.
Jan has a wonderful, approachable, and natural manner when talking to you about your circumstances and in my case, anxieties, and fatigue. Operating from a beautiful and natural space, it was easy to open up and explain feelings and thoughts in a natural way. Jan listens, provides an amazing environment to switch off and think clearly about how I was feeling and what I wanted to achieve. Jan listened, provided detailed coaching ideas on managing fatigue through diet, rest, talking and been more understanding of what you need as a person. How to accept, learn and make positive but subtle changes to mindset and routine.
I’ve been able to accept who I am as a person, and my achievements. Planning when to relax, how to handle challenging times and feelings and how to move forward. It helped me be proud of who I am in business and home life, sleep better and have a really strong outlook as a man and businessman for the future.
Working with Jan has been comforting, important and completely enjoyable to the point where I feel better about myself, and I have certainly achieved what I set out to do. Thank you.”

“I needed fatigue management because after the huge amount of treatment my body went through to treat breast cancer (chemo, surgery, radiotherapy, more chemo!) my once healthy and fit body as well as mind was in (what I believe) in such a mess and so tired/fatigued that in needed help in recovery.
Accepting things pre, during and post treatment was a huge task for me. I struggled to cope mentally, physically, and physiologically. Each stage was different and difficult, and I really didn’t speak out loud to anyone about it because I felt no one would ‘get it’. I didn’t know how not to do things any differently to how I used to do things. I was busy all the time. I felt good being busy and that was life. However, the biggest question was how do I recover or manage a tired mind and body after everything it’s been through? It helped to accept things and I did just that when I started my sessions with Jan.
Jan allowed me to accept things, think things out loud and find/put a plan in place to manage my mental and physical fatigue. She allowed me to find a balance, break down my weeks/days/hours to manage my fatigue and listen to my body AND mind by achieving realistic goals and putting my health first.
Jan Introduced me to tools I could use to manage it all and using the traffic light system was a personal game changer for me. Even after our coaching sessions ending, I still use that. This has benefitted me more than I thought it would. I wrote things down now but, in my head, I always have the traffics light system and manage each decision and action by that. I never finished a session with Jan without a clear goal for the next time I would see her. This made me feel good.
I don’t necessarily want to be the old me again however, today I am a lot stronger, fitter and less fatigued in my everyday life. I now know how to reign myself in and not push myself too much or too hard. I’ve learnt to enjoy and appreciate the little things in life that once upon a time I had no time for because I was too busy. All with the help from Jan.”
